"What I like about the program is how genuine my family support team is. My Family Support Provider, from day one, respected our religious and cultural routines. She always made herself available whenever I needed someone to hear me out and no judgment either.” -Program Participant

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • How much does this program cost?

    All services are FREE.

  • How often would I meet with my Family Support Provider?

Typically, visits are once per week and last approximately one hour. As families’ schedules and needs change, home visits may switch to bi-weekly or monthly.

  • Where would we meet?

Appointments typically take place in your home. However, due to COVID-19 precautions, we adapted and offer appointments in your community or via telehealth on an as-needed basis.

  • How long does the program last?

The duration of services differs as each family has unique needs. We have the capacity to serve families prenatally until their child turns five or enters Kindergarten. Many families choose to stay involved between 18-24 months.

  • Who needs to be present during our visits?

Our program model requires at least one parent or caregiver and the child to be present at every visit. We welcome other family members or household members that are involved in your child’s life to join us. This may include your spouse, partner, co-parent, grandparent, aunt, uncle, or sibling.

  • Is the program only for young parents?

No. If you’re considering our services, you’re likely eligible! While our primary focus is

helping young parents, we serve anyone in need with small children.

  • Is this program for fathers?

Yes! This program is ABSOLUTELY for fathers, as well as mothers and parents. One of our family support providers is a father who works closely with the dads in our program.
